Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit thecryptoshift.com (the "site") or sign up for The Crypto Shift newsletter, and how it is used. The Crypto Shift is run by its founder, Roderick Bourey.
1. Newsletter signup (handled by Substack)
The site does not store your email address. When you enter your email in a signup form or click a Subscribe button, you are sent to Substack, which hosts and delivers the newsletter at thecryptoshift.substack.com. Substack collects your email address and, for paid subscriptions, processes your payment. Your subscription data is handled under Substack's Privacy Policy.
As the publisher, we can see the subscriber information Substack makes available to newsletter owners (such as your email address and subscription status). We use it only to send you the newsletter and related updates you signed up for.
2. Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site.
3. Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies for tracking or advertising. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site. Substack uses its own cookies on its pages, as described in its policy.
4. Email you send us
If you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
5. We don't sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, as needed to run the site and the newsletter, or when required by law.
6. Your choices
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or from your Substack account settings.
- You can ask us to access or delete information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Requests about data Substack holds can also be made directly to Substack.
7. Children
The Crypto Shift is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
